This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is processed when you use NAI – AI Notebook and the rights you have regarding that data.
2. Data We Collect
When you use the app, the following data may be collected and processed:
- Notes – the text content you create in the app
- Audio recordings – voice notes you add to your notebooks
- Images – photos and attachments you upload
- Chat history – your prompts to the AI and its responses
- Email address – used for login and account management
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
We use the following service providers to process and store your data:
- Railway – backend hosting (Privacy Policy)
- Supabase – database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
- OpenAI API – AI processing of your notes and chat queries (Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat – in-app purchase and subscription management (Privacy Policy)
- Sentry – client-side crash and error reporting (receives device and app diagnostics and crash data) (Privacy Policy)
- Google AdMob – advertising (receives advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data) (Privacy Policy)
- Resend – transactional email delivery (receives your email address) (Privacy Policy)
The content of your notes and chat prompts is sent to the OpenAI API in order to provide the AI-powered features of the app. When you use the relevant features, the following are also transmitted to OpenAI: audio recordings and voice notes, for transcription; and images attached to your notes, both for AI features that use them and for automated content moderation.
4. No Sale or Sharing
We never sell your data and we do not share it with third parties, except the service providers listed in Section 3, who process data solely to operate the app.
5. Advertising
NAI shows advertisements to free users via Google AdMob. AdMob may process device and usage information to deliver relevant ads. Paid users do not see advertisements.
- iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): on first launch you will be asked whether tracking is allowed. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings.
- GDPR Consent: within the EU/EEA, your consent is requested via a consent dialog before any ads are loaded.

6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted
- Restrict processing of your data
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent you previously granted

7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from within the app using the "Delete Account" button in the account settings. This is the primary and recommended method.
As a secondary option, you may also request deletion by sending an email to nai-app@web.de.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when features or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
